  Sadly I would advise families not to fall for the fake promises of this church leadership. I find it circumspect that this church has completely cleared out nearly two staff panels in 8 years or so, and left FAMILY on payroll repeatedly. In my experience, family volunteers, but are not on payroll. Who is going to check that things are legit? The elders' ('governance' board') kids were on payroll! In some cases, the preacher's family has married elder's family, and now that person was getting paid nicely for years. Nepotism at its finest; which makes me uncomfortable with giving. There was also too much mix of Tea Party agenda and church affairs around election times, which caused drama. I don't go to church for politics, but to hear god's word. Second chance? Not with this group. What you give will never be enough. I would advise keeping you pocket book closed, and taking your family and love to another church family. And yes, their main agenda now (well for over a decade now) is getting you to give them money so they can build yet another church building on a large plot of land they own. You will be guilted for money, no matter the sacrifice to you and the people you care for... SAD

  Do you like racism? How about sexism? Xenophobia? Homophobia? Well good news - misogyny, hatred, and cold callous hearts await you at POCC! Do you like to feel like you don't belong? Do you like events done half-heartedly and with no thought for anyone involved? Well at POCC you can rest assured that you and your family will be disappointed and marginalized year round! Are you a female looking to volunteer your precious time and get involved with a local church? Good news! At POCC women can make coffee, answer phones, work with children and... oh wait I guess that's all. Speaking of children, POCC is a great place for your children to learn important life lessons that will shape their lives forever. Lessons like: the earth is 6000 years old, man and dinosaurs roamed the earth together, and scientists are mean nasty men trying to take God away from the world. Also your children can learn the valuable lesson that "boys should be boys and girls should be girls" - so boys, put those dolls down and girls, stop trying to do things that God only intended men to do! POCC is also heavily involved with reaching out to the local community...of older white straight Republican males. In conclusion, if you dream of being transported back to "simpler times" (like Europe in 1942 or America before civil rights) then POCC is the right place for you. Make America Great Again, ya'll!
